How did you hear about your internship?
I found my internship through researching online. I was looking for specifically a research -
based internship so when I found that Emory had a research internship, I immediately reached
out to the head of the department and prospective research advisors.
What has been the most valuable (or favorite) part of the experience?
The most valuable part of this internship experience was the knowledge I gained on medicinal
chemistry and its applications in drug design/development. I am also very thankful for the
plethora of connections I made with other renowned chemists at Emory University.
How will this help you in the future?
This research internship will help me succeed this coming Fall on my PhD journey at UGA due
to the knowledge gained. Towards the end of the internship, I gained experience on writing
grants which is a valuable skill to have, especially in the research industry. The connections I
made at Emory University will also help me in the future by allowing for potential
collaboration channels.
