The Tree House

How did you hear about your internship?

I learned about The Tree House from the school counselor at Statham Elementary, Mrs. Phillips, who was previously a board member of The Tree House.

What has been the most valuable (or favorite) part of the experience?

The most valuable part of my internship at The Tree House has been gaining practical experience in the field I aspire to work in. I've known since middle school that I wanted to become a school counselor, but it wasn't until my internship that I realized this is truly the right path for me. I genuinely enjoy going to work and being a voice for these children.

How will this help you in the future?

I was recently offered a permanent position at The Tree House, which I believe demonstrates how much this internship has positively impacted my future. I feel incredibly fortunate to be a part of this amazing non-profit organization, and I can't wait to see how much I grow in my role as a part-time Forensic Interviewer at The Tree House!
