Overview

Dr. Governor has degrees from the University of West Florida in elementary and early childhood education, and curriculum and instruction with a focus on instructional technology.  Her Ph.D. is from the University of Georgia in science education.  Dr. Governor spent 32 years teaching at all levels, K-12 before moving to higher education in 2016.  She is the 2007 Presidential Awardee for Excellence in Science Teaching for the state of Georgia and is a past president of the Georgia Science Teachers Association. Her interests include STEM education, integrated curriculum and informal science learning environments.  Dr. Governor works with preservice teachers in content and methodology courses.
