Nursing Practice (DNP)

The Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree at the University of North Georgia provides an advanced nursing degree to registered nurses with a master's degree seeking a terminal practice doctorate. The DNP represents the preferred educational preparation for advanced practice nurses as recommended by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) and the Institute of Medicine (IOM).

You have the option to complete an area of concentration in nursing education or executive leadership for those desiring to pursue a career in academic or clinical education or nursing administration. The DNP program is delivered online.

  • Program length 38 credit hours
  • 5 semesters (full-time) or 8 semesters (part-time)
