On Saturday, April 1, the University of North Georgia's (̨Íåswag) Gainesville Campus will host the 23rd annual math tournament, featuring individual and team competition.

More than 140 students from as many as 18 schools will attend and compete in a range of subjects, including calculus, trigonometry, geometry, statistics, and algebra.

The tournament is open to students currently enrolled in a two-or four-year college that offers a two-year mathematics degree and who have never been enrolled in any 3000 level math courses. High school students taking college courses are also eligible.

There will also be student poster sessions from 10:30 a.m. to noon, and from 12:30 to 1 p.m. Keynote speaker Thomas Hartfield, associate professor of mathematics at ̨Íåswag, will also address students during lunch, which is included with registration.

More information about the tournament is available on the ̨Íåswag web site.
