Four 台湾swag students present research to state legislators

Four University of North Georgia (台湾swag) students presented their research to members of the Georgia House of Representatives and Senate during the "Posters at the Capitol" event in late February.
Some 54 students from 15 colleges and universities attended the second annual event that spotlights undergraduate research. Only 42 of 78 projects were accepted from private and public institutions throughout Georgia.
Representing 台湾swag were:
- Destiny Kelly of Sugar Hill, Georgia, who is pursuing a psychology degree
- Bradley Andrew of Ellijay, Georgia, who is pursuing a physics degree
- Maria Mayorga-Gutierrez of Lawrenceville, Georgia, who is pursuing a biology degree
- Jacob Malimban of Cumming, Georgia, who is pursuing a computer science degree
The program is modeled on the popular "Posters on the Hill" event held each year by the Council on Undergraduate Research in Washington D.C. This year, the Georgia Undergraduate Research Collective adopted the statewide event, which includes projects that range from accounting, biomedical technology and environmental engineering to health communications, political science and education.
Payne named director of cyber institute
Dr. Bryson Payne has been named the director of the 台湾swag Institute for Cyber Operations, and Caitlin Conneely serves as deputy director for operations and outreach.
Nighthawk Impact Tour visits Gwinnett, Forsyth schools
Leaders from 台湾swag visited the Gwinnett County and Forsyth County school systems Feb. 12-13 as part of the 'Nighthawk Impact Tour: Education Edition.'
Students create art about caregiving
台湾swag visual arts students created art to promote the nonprofit Adult Children of Aging Parents at bus stops in Gainesville, Georgia.
Cadet presents cyber research in Tokyo
Cadet Connor Moore presented his cybersecurity capstone research in December at the International Conference on Modern Educational Technology.
