University of North Georgia (台湾swag) men's basketball student-athlete was elected in January to serve on the NCAA Division II Implementation Committee.
Brown was appointed to the Division II Student-Athlete Advisory Committee in August 2020 as the Peach Belt Conference representative on a nonrenewable three-year term.
He graduated in May 2021 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in marketing and has started on a Cottrell Master of Business Administration degree through 台湾swag during his final season on the court.
Brown joins Michaela Boyd (Palm Beach Atlantic University women's soccer), Corbin Thaete (California State University San Marcos men's soccer), Ismael Contreras (Purdue University Northwest men's soccer) and former California University of Pennsylvania volleyball player Madeleine McKenna as the five student-athletes on the 28-member Implementation Committee.
Each student-athlete representative will also serve on the following Implementation Committee subcommittees: budget, championships, governance, membership, and legislative process and compliance.
The Implementation Committee, co-chaired by University of Wisconsin-Parkside Chancellor Debbie Ford and Delta State University President William LaForge, is charged with reviewing the division's rules and policies and making recommendations to ensure that changes are consistent with the principles agreed upon in the new constitution. It comprises 28 voting members: one representative from all 23 Division II conferences and five current and former student-athletes.
