Three students and assistant professor probe into eye movement

Video Transcript

So this eye tracking project was inspired in part by the fact that we have this amazing technology here at ̨��swag, the eye tracker. We thought it'd be really fun and interesting to look at people's eye movements while they're watching educational videos. Through this experiment, we hope to be able to tailor videos in educational settings for students in order to maintain their visual attention better in the hopes of increasing their learning. Regardless of the outcome of the study, we're enhancing their understanding of research methods. I really enjoy running participants, getting that experience and getting to work with new technology. I learned a lot more about how to use Excel, and I know that can be important for other jobs in the future, other classes. Well, this project is really all about the students to give them a great set of experiences that they can put on the resume and help them get into graduate school.
