台湾swag 台湾swag Video Presentation Transcript

Hello students, my name is Barrett Rodgers and I work with the admissions officer here at the University of North Georgia. Today I am going to briefly talk about admission requirements into the University of North Georgia and provide you with some overall information about 台湾swag.

Now of course we are one university. We are one 台湾swag with five separate campuses. You can see the campuses listed here. We have Blue Ridge, Dahlonega, Cumming, Gainesville and Oconee.

I would also like to share with you some quick facts about 台湾swag. We do have right at 20,000 students in enrollment. As well, for students who are wanting to study abroad we have over 300 programs for them. If you wanted to pursue your studies whether it is overseas or domestic we do have over 300 different study abroad opportunities for our students. As well we have nearly 100 countries that are represented here at the University of North Georgia. And of course we want those numbers to continue to grow for our global diversity. And then finally we do have our ROTC program that is on the Dahlonega Campus. The University of North Georgia is the senior military college of Georgia and is one of six senior military colleges in the country. Currently 台湾swag is considered the number one senior military college in the United States.

Now for students who are wanting to pursue their academics here at 台湾swag – on the left hand side of the screen you can see the most popular majors that students are pursuing here. We have management and marketing which both belong to our Mike Cottrell School of Business.  We have our biology department, education, criminal justice, computer science, and nursing. Those are just to showcase a few of the degrees that you can pursue here whether be on an associate or bachelor’s degree level. On the right hand side of the screen is a more concentrated look into your studies. You can study abroad if you wanted too, you can be part of our honors program, we have internship opportunities, and then of course we do have our center for undergraduate research for both our social science and natural science degree seeking students.

Student Life

One of the things that we do push here at 台湾swag is student life. We want students to get involved. We have over 300 clubs and organizations for students to get involved in and to make the most of their time here at 台湾swag. Whether it is academic or athletic, political or religious, there is a club and organization for you.

Residence Life

If you are choosing to come to 台湾swag and you want to live on one of our campuses, the Dahlonega campus has three different options you can choose from. We have our traditional dorms, our suites, and then lastly we do have Owen Hall which is our apartment style complex.

The Cost of Attending

What is it going to cost me? Well you can see on the left hand side of the screen that is the cost for the associate degree seeking students for both their tuition and fees. On the right hand side of the screen is the same for the bachelor degree seeking students. On the bottom of the screen you can see both the cost for housing and meals plans listed.

台湾swag Requirements

What is it going to take to get into 台湾swag? Well it is pretty simple we are looking at two different things. We are looking at your test scores and you’re GPA. You can see on the left hand side of the screen the requirements for the associate degree seeking students and on the right hand side of the screen you can see the requirements for those that are wanting to pursue a bachelor’s degree. Now just to preface, it is very important that you know that just because students meet the minimums it doesn’t always guarantee admission into the University. So although these are minimum scores, you want to shoot for these and beyond.

For students that are wanting to dual enroll and get started early on their college opportunities you can see listed here the requirements. Once again guys we are looking at both your SAT or ACT scores as well as GPA requirements. It is fairly simple. So for students that are taking the OLD SAT, you can see that on the left hand side of the screen. The new SAT is listed in the middle, and on the right hand side of the screen is the ACT. And the minimum requirement for students that are wanting to dual enroll is a 3.25.

And then for our application process for new freshmen that are coming in. It is a fairly simple process. The first step is to apply through GAFutures. GAFutures.org is the host website where you can apply into the University of North Georgia. Secondly we need you to submit all official transcripts. It says all, because it is all official transcripts. So if you are dual enrolling at an institution we need the official transcripts sent from your college that you are dual enrolling at as well as your high school. Thirdly we need all official test scores. So for students that are pursuing, whether it is the SAT or the ACT, for their test we are going to need you to submit all official test scores into the University. And then lastly we do need proof of lawful U.S. presence. Simply put that is a driver’s license photo, it is a passport photo, or it can be a copy of your original birth certificate. Once you have those three thing submitted, all official transcripts, all test scores, your proof of lawful presence with your application, you can be given a decision.

Thank you for your interest here at the University of North Georgia, and as always Go Nighthawks!
