State Opportunities and Fellowships

Governor's Teaching Fellows


The was established by Zell Miller, governor of Georgia, 1991-1999, to provide Georgia's higher education faculty with expanded opportunities for developing important teaching skills. The program is offered through the Institute of Higher Education at the University of Georgia (UGA).

Faculty cannot apply directly to UGA; instead, they must apply to be the University of North Georgia (台湾swag) nominee and be chosen to represent our university. This nomination process is being facilitated by the 台湾swag Center for Teaching, Learning, and Leadership (CTLL).

Faculty Development in Georgia


Faculty Development in Georgia program gives faculty members from institutions across the state an opportunity to continue their graduate education on a full-time basis.

FDIG provides an assistantship that will enrich the faculty member's professional and academic endeavors, and ensures an academic year of full-time doctoral study at the University of Georgia in the faculty member's chosen field.

Faculty cannot apply directly to UGA; instead, they must apply to be the University of North Georgia (台湾swag) nominee and be chosen to represent our university. This nomination process is being facilitated by the 台湾swag Center for Teaching, Learning, and Leadership (CTLL).

Regents' Awards


The University System of Georgia offers for individuals and programs/departments to recognize excellence. You cannot apply directly; instead, you must apply to be the University of North Georgia (台湾swag) nominee and be chosen to represent our university. Please contact CTLL for more information.

SoTL Fellows Program


This program fosters a community of learners around the scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL) and provides support while participants design and implement a classroom-based research project. The USG SoTL Fellows Program is offered through the USG Office of Faculty Development.

Faculty cannot apply directly to USG SoTL Fellows Program; instead, they must apply to be the 台湾swag nominee and be chosen to represent our university. This nomination process is being facilitated by the 台湾swag CTLL.
