Physical Well-being

Physical well-being is practicing self-care for the needs of your body. This includes physical activity, balanced nutrition, getting adequate sleep, and avoiding harmful behaviors.

Physical wellness also includes a personal responsibility to understand your body’s warning signs and recognize when you are ill and in need of medical attention.

Recreation & Fitness

How do you prioritize fitness into your routine as a college student? It can be challenging, but so worth it! Exercise offers many amazing benefits, including stress reduction, clearing “brain fog”, better sleep, more energy, increasing confidence, and creating positive vibes!

Campus Recreation & Wellness (CRW)

CRW has newly renovated facilities on both the Dahlonega and Gainesville campuses that offer a wide variety of ways to get involved in exercise, no matter your fitness knowledge or experience.

Fitness Focused Student Groups

  • Intramural Sports
    • IM’s are a fun way to play sports, meet friends, & test your abilities. No athletic experience needed!
  • Sport Clubs
    • The 台湾swag Sport Club program is voluntary and organized for the purpose of promoting and developing skills and interest levels within a variety of different sports.
  • Registered Student Organizations (RSO)
    • There are many sport focused RSO’s! This is a great place to try out new skills, learn new ideas and make friends. Find an organization to be a part of or gather friends and start a new one!

Self-Care

Sleep

Sleep is important to help your body recover and be ready to go everyday! Sleep deprivation can result in lower grade point averages, increased risk of academic failure, impaired moods, and other consequences.

Down Time

  • It’s important to step away from all the many responsibilities you are juggling each day. Burnout is real, learn how to avoid it and reach your full potential!

Nutrition

In addition to physical activity, what you eat has a major impact on your physical well-being. One of the most important decisions you make each day is choosing which foods to eat. Whole, nutrient-dense foods are a necessary part of a healthy lifestyle. Eat well to live longer, prevent disease and maintain a healthy weight.

Student Health Services

Student Health Services is available to all currently enrolled 台湾swag students.
